We have one of the best products to oxidize iron. It is the Arcocem Oxidant Agent for the line of natural metal paints, it is a water based solution that reacts with ferrous metal particles activating and accelerating the oxidation process. Applicable indoors and outdoors. Applicable by brush, sponge, roller or spray.
Depending on the oxidized effect that you want to obtain the average consumption is: 13-15 m2 / L / layer
About Arcocem Iron, Copper, Bronze or Brass Paint . Once the last coat of Arcocem Paint has been dried, sand it with a soft sandpaper and apply Arcocem Oxidant Agent to accelerate the process and degree of oxidation. Depending on the oxidation or the patina you want to achieve, apply one or several coats of Arcocem Oxidating Agent and let it dry between 40 and 60 minutes between hand and hand.
On ferrous surfaces (iron) . The surface must be free of lacquers, dirt, grease or calamine. Next, apply Arcocem Oxidant Agent with spray, roller or sponge. When it begins to dry, spray lightly with mineral water to reactivate the oxidation process. If a more oxidized and intense finish is desired, spray again with water and let it dry for 24 hours. Not all irons or steels have the same oxidation process as cold rolled, which need a drying time of 48-72 h.
On copper, bronze or brass . Clean the surface properly and apply Arcocem Oxidizing Agent directly on the metal. Leave on for about 1 hour until the product is completely dry. Finally, pass a cloth to remove the loose oxidized particles and proceed to the sealing.
When the desired rust or patina effect is obtained let it dry 24 h. Then apply two coats of Prepol sealer and finally seal it with Topsealer DSV or Topsealer WT.
